Hey, gorgeous! Welcome to Signorina!
My name is Elisa, I’m Italian and for me, life’s sweetest moments happen in the little things. From an afternoon cappuccino in Milan to the perfect hair accessory, I believe that every detail matters when it comes to feeling your best.
How did I create Signorina?
It all started while I was studying at university, trying to find a way to tie my hair that was both practical and chic.
But every time I looked for accessories, all I could find were cheap, boring, plastic clips that didn’t reflect my style.
Frustrated by the lack of options, I decided to create something different: an accessory that could be both functional and beautiful. So I asked a craftsman, a friend of my aunt, to create some designs just for me, and I started wearing them.
Soon, I found myself getting compliments and girls began stopping me on the street, asking where I got them.
That’s when I realized I wasn’t the only one craving something more sophisticated.
And that’s how Signorina was born: an idea that quickly turned into a passion, and before I knew it, it became so much more than I ever expected.
Why the name Signorina?
When people started asking where they could buy them, I began designing the website and social media pages, but something very important was still missing... the name!
That day I was sitting in a super cute café in Milan, my beautiful city, and while I was thinking about the perfect name that could encapsulate everything I wanted to express, the waiter came up to me and asked, "Signorina, cosa desidera?” (= Miss, what would you like?) and in that moment, I lit up! Yes, Signorina! This is the perfect name! It felt elegant, refined, and had that touch of Italian charm I was looking for.
Signorina is like my little baby, born from love and passion for everything that is beautiful and unique.
